I think I posted earlier what my w/mo uses (and he uses a sword).

Gladiator's Defense
Watch Yourself
Healing Breeze
Mending
Balthazar's Aura
Bonetti's Defense
Balthazar's Spirit
Zealot's Fire

Smiting: 9
Healing: 9
Sword: 9
Tactics: 14
Leftover in strength (just cause)

I have a weapon on switch that gives me enough plus to energy to throw up Balthazar's since the warrior only has a natural 20. I could get some Gladiator's, but I'd rather not risk salvaging my superior vigor/absorption.

You can always just buy a second set. I have a full set of plate and another of gladiator's and knights mix. I have major vigor and absorption and can do these runs just fine. You definitely don't need the superiors for anything in PvE really.

Also, if anybody cares; I run a slightly modified build where I have 3 permenant enchantments: Balth Spirit, Mending, and Live Vicariously. I put up mending and balth spirit at the start, then once i engage I throw up bonetti's and then put on live vicariously. This way I have -1 energy regen but that really doesn't change a single thing until you get down to 1 or 2 griffons at the end, in which case you could just take off live vicariously. The benefit to having both of these is that once you target one of the griffons and start hacking away at it you get +20 health every 1.3 seconds and it seems to really help a lot. If the griffon you've targeted dies just make sure you switch to another. Of course, you also get double health for a cyclone axe swing too.

Read through the thread. I posted an Ele build using Fire and Water with a little bit of monk skills which can farm this very nicely. Although when I switched to all monk skills it was more efficient for this particular spot.

At any rate, there are lots of areas I farm as an Ele/Me using mostly Fire/Water skills.

I hear rangers are good at farming certain spots by laying lots of traps.

People say they can farm with Necro's, but I am not sure how they do it.

Same with Mesmers.

A group of 3 rangers can clear out the first areas of the UW no problem. Drops are good with just 3 people, and it's very fun to watch 30 traps spring at once.

My W/Mo uses the same rudamentary skills as you guys do, but I don't see how you all the need an actual "healing" spell. With Live Vicariously + Vigorous spirit and alternating between bonettis and cyclone axe frequently you should never even get close to dying.

I run the exact same place the person in the video does, but my skills are as follows:

Cyclone Axe

Executioners Strike (just for when that last one is hanging around and won't die)

Gladiators Defense (mainly for extra damage, although sometimes I'll jack up smiting and switch to shield of judgement)

Bonettis

Balthazars Spirit

Live Vicariously

Vigorous Spirit

Zealots Fire

I have no idea why the above bring healing hands or other self healing spells when they could be bringing spells that deal more damage and get the run finished quicker. With my build I never get in trouble unless more than 2 devourers follow me and they distract the vigorous spirit recast more than a few times.

If I get a very large group on me I'd definitely die without healing hands. I've died in the time it takes cyclone axe to recharge before...

I do EVERY griffon except if there is the Screamingclaw mob which is the Monk Boss. He is a pain in the ass.

You CANNOT use Zealous because for Kalgareth build he uses Mending + Live Vicariously which are kinda important and take the 2 mana regens.

**edit**And yes, Healing Hands may be the most important move on his build besides of course Cyclone Axe and Bonnetti's. I'd say those 3 are of equal importance. Maybe Bonnetti's is most impotant because thats your mana supply!

It will be hard without higher healing stats and with smiting that low. Just have someone run you to all the mission points in the desert, beat them and ascend. That should put you at lvl 20.

if you cast them right after you leave augury, then run and gather, you'll be fine.

Anybody got any amazin set ups for farming with a W/N??? Really not interested in using secondary monk as too many people use that... it would be good to own a bit like that (not the same obiously) using the char. Much appreciated if someone helped me out.

I don't think you can mitigate enough damage to do this run nearly as fast as the other people can if you play a W/N. You might be able to farm other places, though.

Healing Hands is NOT needed for this build. Not in my opinion, anyway. Since my last build I've taken out executioners strike and traded it for symbol of wrath, so the killing is even faster.

I have no idea how you all are needing to heal yourselves if you constantly are using bonettis. With Vig Spirit and Live Vicariously your life should almost always fill right back up every cyclone axe. Maybe you all are taking on the Rockshot Devourers, too?

I don't have great equipment either. Just a major vigor, major absorption in knights armor (I know it's glitched, looks cooler though).

If you keep up with recasting Vig Spirit then you shouldn't have any problems with health at all.

I also don't bother with that monk boss as he seems to cast guardian at times on whatever you're swinging at. It's not too bad beating all of the griffins around him, but fighting him 1 vs. 1 can be a pain.

I use a W/N. It's not as fast as a smiter, and casters/unblockable attacks can be bad news, but it works good enough for me.

Sever Artery
Bonetti's Defense
Disciplined Stance/Dolyak Signet (depends on mobs being farmed)
Shield Stance
Sprint
Mark of Pain (your sword must do 'slashing' damage to trigger MoP's effect)
Spiteful Spirit
Heal Signet

8 Strength
14 Tactics
10 Sword
10 Curses

Gladiators armor w/ Ascalon helm.

You are either not fighting all of the griffons and minotaurs at once, or you just get lucky. Look at it like this: You're bonetti's and cycloning happily, but then your vigorous spirit or your zealot's fire starts to wear out. You recast that spell, thus removing bonetti for a second and dying.

dunno about you guys but I carry mending, live vicariously, breeeze, bonnetis, cyclone. Aggro a bunch of em, use cyclone axe to get adrenaline quick and then use bonnetis for mana......when bonnetis begins to run out cast healing breeze, then immediately use cyclone axe for adrenaline, then immediately use bonnettis......and repeat. With this method you dont necessarily need to bring healing hands but you need to be good on your timing. Even with rockshot devourers, your chances of casting are pretty good while using bonnetis. But still, healling hands can be used as a backup in case you do get hit by distracting shot.

BTW from this place I've farmed
TWO +30HP Bowgrips of Fortitude
One Perfect Insightful Staff head
Multiple golds and purple items with +12-15% while above 50% HP (many of which I use)

So for the love of god, farm this place while you can....cuz the big nerf bat is coming
